The Bakerview Housing Cooperative
Our History
Canadians have been building and living in housing co-ops since the 1930s. The Bakerview Housing Cooperative was established June 5, 1981.
Since it’s inception, Bakerview Housing Cooperative has been acquired by the Community Land Trust (CLT) in 2017, and has undergone an extensive $5.5 million in renovations. The exterior shells of our apartment building and townhouses were updated with new doors, windows, and siding. New fences were installed and balconies/patios received a facelift as well. Many of our older units also received internal updates and renovations.
Who We Are
We are proud to be apart of the larger cooperative movement and believe our co-op offers our Members advantages that are often unavailable in other forms of housing.
