Next steps in application process

You attended a “Future Member Session Night” and submitted your completed application to our office, now what?

Our office coordinator will review your application and ensure you meet the qualifications for Co-op Housing.

  • Monthly housing charges must not exceed 30% of gross income

  • Household size must correspond with number of bedrooms within the home

  • Pass credit and reference checks

  • Residency status in Canada

Eligible applications will be reviewed by the Membership Committee. They will follow up with you for an interview.

The Membership Committee makes a recommendation to the Board of Directors to approve your new Membership.

If you are approved for Membership at Bakerview Housing Co-op, you will be added to our waitlist. It is your responsibility to update the office annually, to maintain your spot on the waitlist.

The wait is over! We have a unit available for your requirements. You will be contacted by the Co-op to schedule a move-in inspection and you will be given a move-in date/keys.
